Salt & Straw Ice Cream is voluntarily recalling a limited number of its Chocolate Gooey Brownie pints because it may contain undeclared peanuts. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of a serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The product is safe to consume unless you have a peanut allergy or sensitivity. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
The recall was initiated after receiving notification from the chocolate supplier, Pitch Dark Chocolate, that the chocolate chips used in the Chocolate Gooey Brownie may have had possible cross-contact with a peanut allergen.

The product subject to recall was sold in Salt & Straw ice cream shops in California, Oregon, Washington, and through www.saltandstraw.com between 7/17/18 and 8/13/18 and can be identified with the following plant and lot codes:

Action Request
Anyone who has purchased affected product and who has a sensitivity or allergy to peanuts is encouraged to discard the affected product or return it to one of our shops for a full refund.
