JPC Equestrian recalled about 1,200 of their HDR Pre-Stretched Stirrup Leathers, as the stirrup leather can crack and break, causing the rider to potentially fall and be injured.
JPC has received three reports of broken stirrup leathers, but no injuries have been reported yet. However, riders should immediately stop using the stirrup leathers and contact JPC for a full refund.
This recall involves five models of pre-stretched stirrup leathers. The stirrup leathers are branded with the HDR logo and name “HENRI DE RIVEL”. The item number and UPC code are located on the hang tag. They were purchased from Choice Brands/Horse Loverz, Dover Saddlery, The Equestrian Corner and other equestrian supply retailers nationwide, October 2013 to May 2014 for between $30 and $40.
