Over 1113 James Trading Group’s Croker Kids GAA fleece panel hoodies have been recalled. The sweatshirts have a drawstring around the neck (hood) which poses a strangulation hazard to children, as the drawstrings can become entangled or caught on playground slides, hand rails, school bus doors or other moving objects.
No injuries have been reported, but parents should immediately take the hoodies away from their child and contact the company for a refund of replacement.
The recall concerns J.T. Group’s Croker Kids brand Gaelic Athletic Association licensed fleece hoodies. Made from 75% cotton and 25% polyester, the hoodie has a full zippered front and 3-tone color panels of green, white and blue, with GAA embroidery on the left and right chest and on the hood. The word Ireland is printed on the back across the shoulders. Sold in kids sizes “2YR” through “12YR”, as indicated on the hang tag and on the tag sewn into the neck, along with model number GA2002. They were purchased from Irish boutiques, specialty retail stores nationwide, and online at www.thejtg.com January 2013 to December 2014. Approximate price – $50.
