The pan’s tempered glass lid can crack, break or shatter, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.

This recall involves Kirkland Signature six-quart, black, hard-anodized aluminum saute pans with glass lids. The tempered glass lids have a stainless steel rim and handle. The pan is about 3 inches deep and the pan and lid each measure about 12 inches in diameter. “Kirkland Signature,” “6 QT/5.6 L” and “Made in Thailand” are printed on the bottom of the saute pan.
Meyer has received 97 reports of the pan’s glass lids breaking or shattering. No injuries have been reported.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pans and glass lids and return them to any Costco store for a full refund. Costco is contacting its customers directly.
Costco Wholesale stores in the San Francisco Bay area and in the Northeast from May 2012 through October 2012 for about $35.
