BMW will be recalling 200,000 vehicles in September for a potential passenger-side airbag defect that could cause the airbag not to deploy.
The recall involves 2004 and 2005 5-Series, 2006 3-Series and 2004-2006 X3 vehicles.
A report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) states that the airbags my not deploy “even if a sufficiently severe accident would occur.”
Owners of these models should contact their local BMW dealership to discuss a time-frame for replacement of the airbag sensor.
I recently bought a bmw X3 2006. How could I know if this recall applies to my car?
