• 2005-206 Pontiac Pursuit (Canada)
• 2005-2006 Pontiac G4 (Mexico)
The automobiles referencing other countries are the locations where they were sold, not manufactured.

Millions of Blinds and Shades Recalled: Strangulation Hazard

Recalls BlindsOver 50 million Roman-style shades and roll-up blinds have been recalled due to the risk of children becoming trapped and strangled in the cords.

The CPSC said five deaths and 16 near-strangulations from Roman shades have been reported since 2006, while three deaths connected to roll-up blinds have been reported since 2001. There have been several recalls and alerts within the last few years.

BYETTA Kidney Failure Risk

byetta-warningsThe FDA has announced labeling changes on the diabetes drug BYETTA (exenatide). The revisions will warn doctors and patients of the risk of kidney failure and renal insufficiency when taking the medication. So far there have been at least four reported deaths from kidney failure associated with BYETTA use. This is not the first significant health risk that has been linked to BYETTA. The drug has been associated with acute pancreatitis, including at least two pancreatitis-related deaths.

These 500,000 lbs of recalled ground beef were distributed by Fairbank Farms and may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7.
