Taher, Inc. Retira Productos De Carne Producidos Sin El Beneficio De La Inspección

WASHINGTON, 17 de octubre de 2020 – Taher, Inc., una compañía en Plymouth, Minn., está retirando aproximadamente 22 096 libras de productos de carne de res que fueron producidos sin el beneficio de la inspección federal, anunció hoy el Servicio de Inocuidad e Inspección de Alimentos (FSIS, por sus siglas en inglés) del Departamento de Agricultura de los EE.UU.

Los productos de carne congelados fueron producidos y empacados entre el 25 de feb. de 2020 y el 22 de sep. de 2020. Los siguientes productos son objeto de la retirada: : [View Labels (PDF Only)]

  • Cajas de 16 lb. que contienen 4 bolsas de “Fresh Seasons Tator Tot Hot Dish” (Plato Caliente Tator Tot Fresh Seasons)) con código de lote 056-282 y código de barras 108101060239.
  • Cajas de 16 lb. que contienen 4 bolsas de “Fresh Seasons Sloppy Joe” (Sloppy Joe Fresh Seasons)) con código de lote 065-269 y código de barras 1081010602366.

Los productos objeto de la retirada están marcados con el número de establecimiento “EST. 45091” dentro del sello de inspección del USDA. Los productos fueron enviados a establecimientos de servicios alimentarios en Minnesota.

El problema se descubrió cuando el personal de inspección del FSIS determinó que los productos se habían producido sin el beneficio de la inspección federal.

No ha habido reportes confirmados de reacciones adversas debido al consumo de estos productos. Cualquier persona que tenga inquietudes acerca de alguna reacción debe contactar a un proveedor de servicios de salud.  

El FSIS muestra preocupación debido a que parte del producto puede estar en los congeladores institucionales o de los servicios alimentarios. Se le urge a las instituciones y establecimientos de servicios alimentarios que compraron estos productos que no los sirvan. Estos productos deben ser desechados o devueltos al punto de venta.

El FSIS realiza revisiones sobre la efectividad de retirada de manera rutinaria para verificar que las empresas que realizan una retirada les notifiquen a sus clientes de esta y que se sigan los pasos necesarios para asegurarse de que el producto ya no esté al alcance de los consumidores. Cuando están disponibles, las listas de distribución al detalle se publican en el sitio web del FSIS www.fsis.usda.gov/avisos.
