Nordstrom recalled about 2,030 of their Leith Brand Open Vest Sweaters. The sweaters fail to meet the federal flammability standard for apparel, which can pose a burn injury hazard to wearers.
No injuries have been reported. Those who’ve bought the sweaters are encouraged not to wear them, and contact Nordstrom to return them for a full refund.
This recall involves Leith brand women’s textured open vest sleeveless sweaters. The sweaters are 35 ½ inches long, and were sold in black and cream, and in sizes extra small – XS, small – S, medium – M, large – L and extra large – XL. Care labels sewn into the garments read, “Leith,” “Made in China,” “83% cotton” and “17% nylon.” They were purchased exclusively Nordstrom stores nationwide and online at Nordstrom.com, August through September 2014 for about $70.
