About 5,400 John Deere Compact Utility Tractors have been recalled by Deere & Company of Moline, IL.
These John Deere tractor recalls have been made because the forward acceleration pedal can stick, causing a loss of control of the tractor, which could result in injury, damage to property or death.
The recalled tractor model number is 3203. You can find this model number on the side of your John Deere Tractor. The recall includes serial numbers:
- LV3203H393093
- LV3203H000001 through LV3203H000010
- LV3203H190001 through LV3203H193434
- LV3203H394001 through LV3203H396669
You can find the serial numbers on the frame above the right wheel of John Deere Tractors.
These tractors were sold at John Deere dealers nationwide from 2005 through the end of 2007 for about $15,500.
John Deere Tractor-owners who have purchased a tractor within this time frame (even used) should check the model and serial numbers. If your tractor is on this recall list, stop using it immediately and contact any John Deere dealer to schedule in a free repair of the problem.
All registered tractor owners with these recalled John Deere tractors have been notified by the company, but many people fail to fill in the registration forms, and others buy the equipment second-hand.
