The new baskets requires a paper filter. I have always used a gold filter and they are to tall to fit under the new safety contraption, and if you vse paper filters it still leaks.

I also have a Black and Decker Spacemaker coffee maker. While it is not currently the one that is being recalled, it certainly should be!!! This is our second one! We purchased our first one the first part of July and it nearly ruined our carpet leaking coffee all over the floor! Then we took it back, and got another identical to it. This one leaks everywhere! It leaks water out of the reservoir, and pretty much any place it can leak it does. This one doesn’t overflow from the basket, but it leaks everywhere else! I emailed the company, and they told me they would send me a replacement reservoir which I have yet to see. These coffee makers are not exactly cheap or easy to install! I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone, nor will I be purchasing another!!!

The water reservoir leaks when installed in machine. Are there any recalls for this, or repair parts SDC740

Been trying to get a replacement coffee maker that was recalled(black and decker) acprecall.com is the company doing the recall. They said to cut the plug and send it to them and I will have a new coffee maker in 20 days. Well it’s been almost 4 weeks and according to their website it has not been shipped yet. I don’t have a number to call that you can talk to a human or even to leave voice mail. My emails to them have been ignored. Meanwhile I am without a coffee maker. Anyone else have this problem. Is there anything that can be done ?

    Update from my letter 9/24
Finally got an email from acprecall, now they are saying according to their records I have received the coffee maker. The only thing I have received is the brew basket. They seem like a totally screwed up outfit. Does anyone have any suggustions on how to proceed ?
