This is a real disappointment. It was purchased as a Christmas gift and it could not even be used for one month. The lever to hold down the toast does not stay down and I consider it a $100 piece of junk. I am surprised that Wolfgang Puck has a greed to attach his name to this product. I was happy to learn it was recalled only to find out that my model number was not the one causing fires. The number on mine is 0607. W.P. Appliances is a joke in my eyes and should be banned from doing business.

I received a recall on Wolfgang Puck toaster oven model number BTOT0010, lot code 0207 on around 11-7-09. I cut the cord, put the UL rating
label and put both in returned envelop and mailed on 11-9-09 as I was instructed. I was assured by the letter I would receive $98.28. It is now 12-02-09 and no check. I have called the toll free number and left messages in mail box but have not received any calls. Something just told me I would have trouble getting my money . I cannot understand why HSN would have anyone who would
not live up to their obligation on their network .
MY LAST TIME FROM ORDERING FROM WOLFGANG PUCK AND HSN.

Our toaster oven was recalled in October 2009 and we followed the instruction given to get a refund.. However , no refund has arrived in our mailbox as of today December 9 2009. Your phone number is impossible to get through as I think you have only person on duty. The 2-3 weeks promised for our check to arrive has come and gone. SO WHEN WILL IT ARRIVE?

Another “run around”. I called your number 800-275-8273 and talked to Grant #1080 and he told me that his Dept does not handle “refunds on recalls”. And I should get my “rtefund” in SEVERAL DAYS (what ever that means). And like ALL the other people trying to get through your 866-510-9670 is a JOKE.. Where can we go now??

On 11-11-09 I returned the Wolfgang Puck toaster oven cord wrapped with the UL rating label and the Reimbursement Stub in the recall pre-paid FedEx returned envelope as instructed in the recall notice for a full refund of $106.74. As of date, 12-19-09, I’ve not received a check and upon speaking with W.P, Appliance representative, Malcolm, at Ext 3165 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was unable to tell me exactly when I could expect to receive my $106.74 refund. Malcolm said there’s been a delay and indicated several different time frames for receipt of the refund. I asked to speak with a supervisor and Malcolme said I’d have to call back on Monday to speak with one. Malcolm also said I could contact Frontgate, where I purchased the toaster oven, but didn’t have contact information either and the conversation ended with frustration. In addition, this is the third attempt to get information regarding my refund and I’m very dissatisfied with your customer service. I left a message on 12-10-09 at the 866-510-9670 number, spoke with Malcolm this morning at the 800-275-8273 number and now this email. I do want to believe W.P. Appliances wants to take care of this and expect a prompt response regarding this manner.

I tried calling to get information on my promised refund with no success. I called the number on the letter but only heard a recording telling me how to return the toaster which I already did in November.

After reading the other comments I can see that there are problems.

I will contact Frontgate re: this issue but I do want to know … WHEN WILL THE REFUND BE MAILED? IT IS ALREADY LONG PAST THE 2-3 WEEKS PROMISED IN THE LETTER I RECEIVED.

Why bother to send out this recall and then not honor it?

After reading the complaints above i find that I have been having the same problem with the refund. I have called W. P. Appliance,Inc and also called Frontgate several times. Seems that no one seems to get the message.I have emailed them and still no response. Maybe we should call the government agency listed on the computer and let them get this taken care of for us. It never ceases to amaze me what people can do to you and get by with it.I thought Wolfgang Puck was a reputable brand. NOT SO!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe we should stay from HSN and Frontgate.

I called WPAppliance and they said give them until Feb. I then called Frontgate,as that is where I purchased it from. Finally after going through a couple of customer service employees I spoke to someone that knew what they were talking about. I recieved a call this morning checking to be sure I had it credited to my visa, which I did get it yesterday. Hang in there.

I rec’d 2 letters about the toaster ovens (2) in October 27,2009. I cut the cord off each returned eveything just like instructed. Called 866- 510-9670 several times left several messages, no return calls, time isn’t right listed on letter even called at noon said it was still closed EST( I am EST).Still waiting on my refunds. Very disappointed wth this and Wolfgang Puck. Even spoke to HSN, and they could not help me. If would be great to get my checks so I could buy a new one somewhere else. One of the items was given last year for Christmas. BAD JOB WOLFGANG AND HSN

I did the routine telephone calls to Wolfgang Puck corporate offices (after Frontgate wanted nothing to do with this issue – stating it was a Wolfgang Puck problem, not theirs) since last November and have sent 5 e-mails; one of which was answered in very early January stating, “you will receive a reimbursement check within three weeks.” It has been 3.5 months since the recall letter was received, yet Wolfgang Puck has not once honored their own timeline they stated in their letter and in their e-mail. I will not purchase ANYTHING else from either Frontgate nor from Wolfgang Puck. Let all your friends and neighbors know of this treatment – I have!

I have a Wolfgang Puck dual toaster/toaster Oven and the screws
holding the handle have come loose, one out altogether, and I
find no possible way to tighten the handle. It appears that the
panel on the inside of the door must be removed in order to
re -attach and tighten the screws. The panel, however, does NOT
appear to be removeable. Perhaps you can help.
