On our Environmental Product Recall Page we recently alerted consumers to news about the potential danger of Hartz Flea and Tick Drops for Cats and Kittens. Among these dangers are worrisome issues like hair loss and increased salivation, as well as very serious problems like tremors and death. That’s right – Death!
This item of news mentioned that Hartz had agreed to apply different labeling to the product for now, and would phase it out completely by March 2006.
So they are going to continue selling this product until Spring? What kind of world do we live in, where a corporation can negotiate with a governing body put in place to protect us, the environment, and our pets? Why doesn’t the Environmental “Protection” Agency slap a huge fine on Hartz and tell them to recall every last little drop of their toxic potion before more kittens die?
