Triangle Pharmataturals Recalls Kratom Products Due to Potential Salmonella Contamination

Triangle Pharmanaturals, LLC (“Triangle”) of Las Vegas, Nevada is recalling all kratom (mitragyna speciosa) powder products it manufactured, processed, packed, and/or held, between April 4, 2017 to Present. Specifically, such products include:

  • Raw Form Organics Maeng Da Kratom Emerald Green in 150 capsule and 300 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Raw Form Organics Maeng Da Kratom Ivory White in 150 capsule and 300 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Raw Form Organics Maeng Da Kratom Ruby Red in 150 capsule and 300 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Raw Form Organics Maeng Da Kratom Amethyst Gold in 150 capsule and 300 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Molecule Kratom Red Maeng Da in 20 capsule, 80 capsule, 45 gram, and 250 gram plastic bottles.
  • Molecule Kratom Green Maeng Da in 20 capsule, 80 capsule, 45 gram, and 250 gram plastic bottles.
  • Molecule Kratom Super Green Malay in 20 capsule, 80 capsule, 45 gram, and 250 gram plastic bottles.
  • Molecule Kratom Gold Bali in 20 capsule, 80 capsule, 45 gram, and 250 gram plastic bottles.
  • Molecule Kratom Red Malay in 20 capsule, 80 capsule, 45 gram, and 250 gram plastic bottles.
  • Molecule Kratom White Maeng Da in 20 capsule, 80 capsule, 45 gram powder, and 250 gram powder plastic bottles.
  • Molecule Kratom White Borneo in 20 capsule, 80 capsule, 45 gram powder, and 250 gram powder plastic bottles.
  • Chameleon Kratom Formula 27 in 60 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Chameleon Kratom Formula 51 in 60 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Naturally Kratom White Maeng Da in 6 capsule bags.
  • Naturally Kratom Red Malay in 6 capsule bags.
  • Naturally Kratom Green Malay in 6 capsule bags.
  • Naturally Kratom Bali Gold in 6 capsule bags.
  • Lifted Kratom White Maeng Da in 45 gram powder, 150 capsule and 300 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Lifted Kratom Red Maeng Da in 45 gram powder, 150 capsule and 300 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Lifted Kratom Green Maeng Da in 45 gram powder, 150 capsule and 300 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Lifted Kratom Gold Bali in 45 gram powder, 150 capsule and 300 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Live Well Kratom Green Maeng Da in 150 capsule and 300 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Live Well Kratom Red Maeng Da in 150 capsule and 300 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Third Eye Kratom White in 300 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Third Eye Kratom Red in 300 capsule plastic bottles.
  • Third Eye Kratom Bali in 300 capsule plastic bottles.

Triangle will update this press release to include label renderings of affected products as it review its records.

These products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.

The products discussed herein were distributed to through direct delivery.

The recall was as the result of a mandatory recall order by FDA after FDA found Salmonella spp. in samples of Triangle products. The company has ceased the production and distribution of the products.

Consumers who have purchased Triangle’s kratom powder products between the timeframes discussed herein are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at trianglefda@trianglepharmanaturals.com.
