Albertsons Grocery Store Carrots Salmonella Poisoning

Albertson’s Inc., a chain of grocery stores, has issued a warning on their own brand of one-pound bags of peeled baby carrots for possible salmonella poisoning.

A bag of Albertson’s carrots tested positive for salmonella in Canada. These carrots have already been taken off the shelves, but consumers are advised not to eat the bags they already have, and to return them to the store for a full refund.

Albertson’s said there have been no complaints of illness associated with the one-pound bags of peeled baby carrots.
