NettoCollection and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has recalled about 400 “Moderne” and “Loft” Cribs due to an entrapment and strangulation hazard.
These cribs are dangerous because the slats can separate from the side rails, which poses an entrapment and/or strangulation hazard to infants and young children. These recalled cribs were sold at Juvenile furniture stores throughout the US from 2003 to June 2005 for about $1,350. The were made in Poland and are “Moderne” and “Loft” Crib model numbers NC-137 and NC-140.
Normally we do not blog about recalls involving less than a few thousand units (you can see all of the recalls we know about, regardless of size, on our recall alert section) but when it involves the potential strangulation of infants a recall is of the utmost importance no matter how many or few units have been sold. If we reach a single parent who has purchased one of these recalled cribs it is worth every second.
