There Were Two Important Auto Recalls This Week:
Chrysler has recalled about 300,000 SUVs because of a potential braking problem while driving uphill. The recall includes 2006/2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander SUV models, as well as 2007 Jeep Wrangler and Dodge Nitro SUVs. Chrysler has received numerous complaints from owners of these recalled SUVs, where drivers have experienced a delay in braking while trying to stop after coasting uphill.
Adding to the 1.5 million toys already recalled for lead paint, Mattel today has recalled another 253,000 toys for violation of Lead Safety Standards.
The newest toy subject to recall from Mattel is the “Sarge” die cast toy cars seen in the picture below. Surface paints on the recalled Sarge toy cars may contain lead levels in excess of federal standards.
