According to the Vivus website, doctors may soon be prescribing the male sex hormone testosterone to women with low sex drives.
US Recall News is more concerned with informing the public of recalled products than it is about informing the public of products that aren’t even on the market yet. But we cam across this company while researching the potential risks of testosterone patches for men, and thought it interesting that while male athletes cannot be legally prescribed a male hormone that naturally occurs in their own body in order to heal injuries faster and prevent bone density loss, the FDA is considering Phase 3 trials of the same hormone for… low sex drives in – not MEN, but WOMEN!
Not that us men wouldn’t welcome a little more marital fun in the bedroom, but if it involves my wife growing a mustache I think I’ll stick with foreplay.
With that said, I’m sure if Vivus goes to market with their transdermal testosterone spray for low sex drive in women there will be no shortage of potential patients.
