Real Life Constant Gardener: Pfizer Accused of Illegally Testing Drugs on African Children
According to a recent story in the Washington Post, medical experts in Nigeria have concluded that Pfizer Inc. violated international law during an epidemic in 1996 by testing an unapproved drug on children with meningitis.
The report was actually completed five years ago, but was never released. The report found that Pfizer had given a then unaproved drug, Trovan, to children and infants at a hospital in Kano.
