Almost one year after the spinach fiasco, new fears about E. coli-contaminated salad prompt at least ten US States and Canadian provinces to recall Dole’s hearts Delight salad mix.
A bag of Dole’s salad mix tested positive for E. coli after being sold at a store in Canada. The recalled salad has a “best if used by” date of Sept. 18, 2007 and the production code on the bag is either “A24924A” or “A24924B.”
Although this most recent salad mix recall has originated from a Canadian E. coli scare, A Dole spokesperson told the Associated Press that 755 cases containing 4,530 bags of Dole’s Hearts Delight salad mix were distributed in the United States.
