The outer race of the secondary shaft bearing could break in certain driving conditions, causing noise, the “check engine” light to turn on, and allow contact between the transmission idle gear and electronic sensor housing within the transmission. This situation could result in a short-circuit that causes the engine to stall in these recalled Hondas. Furthermore, broken pieces from these parts may get stuck in the parking pawl, causing the car to move after the gear is placed in the park position.
