Honda Pilot - Part of the Dual Honda Zubaru RecallA new, dual recall announcement has been issued for 311,000 Honda SUVs and half a million Subaru vehicles. The automobiles were found to have safety-related problems that might cause serious injuries to drivers and their passengers.

Eye Infections, Complications Due to Off-Label Usage of Avastin

Avastin - Bevacizumab and Eye InfectionsAccording to an FDA advisory issued August 30, 12 patients have developed serious bacterial infections after using intravitreal injections of bevacizumab (Avastin). Of these 12 patients who developed Streptococcus endophthalmitis, which can lead to blindness and brain damage, at least five have lost all remaining vision in their treated eyes. The incidents occurred in three different clinics in Miami, Los Angeles, and Nashville.

Chocolate Decadence Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Milk in Multiple Lines of Chocolate Products

Chocolate Decadence, Eugene, Oregon, is recalling multiple lines of chocolate products because they may contain undeclared milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

There has been one allergic reaction complaint and confirmed to date in Connecticut. The products were distributed nationwide through Internet sales and through retail stores.

Target Recalls to Repair Embark Resistance Cords Due to Injury Hazard

Target is recalling approximately 447,000 Embark Resistance Cords and Cord Kits because the black plastic ball attached to the resistance cord’s door anchor can accidentally release and strike the user.

Incidents/Injuries:
Target has received three reports of incidents in which consumers were struck in the eye by the door anchor ball. Two incidents resulted in permanent vision loss, and the severity of the injury in the third incident is unknown.
