2011 Ducati Diavel Motorcycles Recalled: Defective Chain Guards

Ducati North America is recalling about 964 year 2011 Diavel motorcycles made between September 23, 2010 and May 12, 2010 because the brass inserts installed in the chain guard may deform over time. This could result in a loosening of the license plate holder retaining screws on the rear swing arm, which could interfere with the bike’s rear wheel rotation, thus increasing the risk of a crash.

2011 Ducati Diavel motorcycle owners should take their bike into a Ducati dealer, where they will replace the chain guard for free with one that has steel inserts. Until then, owners are advised not to operate the recalled Ducati motorcycle.
