Quality Bicycle Products of Bloomington, MN recalls about 100 Civia Loring carrying racks for mounting over the front bicycle wheel causing potential crash hazard.  The bicycle rack’s mounting bracket can crack or break leading to potential falling of the rider when the rack collides with the wheel.  At least one known mounting bracket breaking that resulted in injury has been reported.

The label on the packaging lists the company name Global Wellness, LLC, Hollywood Florida. Only Lots 809013 and 806030 are covered in this recall.

Kashi recalls pizzas due to possible plastic fragments in pizza crust.  The recalled pizzas include the Mediterranean Thin Crust Pizza, Roasted Vegetable Thin Crust Pizza, and Mushroom Trio and Spinach Thin Crust Pizza.  Approximately 11,000 cases of frozen pizzas have been affected by the recall.

Nearly 6,200 units have been affected by this recall.  MGA has discontinued production and distribution of this product.

The product was prepared using an ingredient blend that contained whey (from milk), a known allergen, which was not declared on the label, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

22,000 lbs of Ready-To-Eat Salads Recalled: Salmonella

Taylor Farms Pacific, of Tracy, California has recalled about 22,000 pounds of ready-to-eat fresh salad products that contain meat and poultry because the grape tomatoes used in these products may be contaminated with Salmonella.

The problem was discovered when Taylor Farms Pacific was notified by their tomato supplier, Six L’s, that a specific lot of grape tomatoes was being recalled due to potential Salmonella contamination.
