La Fiesta Food Products Issues Recall on Dried Shredded Shrimp Due to Incorrect Ingredient Label

La Fiesta Food Products is recalling all Dried Shredded Shrimp products due to an error on the ingredients labels. The products contain sulfites and the new labels will be updated accordingly.
Certain consumers having severe sensitivity or allergies to sulfite run the risk of allergic reactions if they consume this product. Additionally, La Fiesta Food Products is recalling Dried Shredded Shrimp products sold under the label Mi Pueblo. Dried Shredded Shrimp are sold in the following packages:

The recall was initiated after sampling and lab analysis revealed the presence of sulfites in Dried Shredded Shrimp; the allergen warning was not printed on the labels. The new labels will state “Allergen Information: Contains Sulfites.”
No illnesses have been reported to date. As a precautionary and voluntary measure, consumers allergic to sulfites are urged to return these products to the place of purchase for a full refund.
