I read ot the axel problem in the Evansville newspaper and called D’patrick ford dealership at Boonville In. and they said my ID number matched the recall. I took the van in and they said axel was cracked and the y offered me a vehichle to drive but then changed their mindsand said I could not have the vehichle because I only had liability insurance on this 2003 van. I had to sign a paper to get my van back to drive and this all took place in December . They said I could get rental car from rental agency at the Evansville airport but I do not think that I should have to go to airport to get a vehichle and I don’t just need any car I need a van thats why I have one. I am disappointed that they would not get me a van and that the wait is taking so long so I am driving a van that has the potential to get someone killed or injured.

    Ronald,
I took my van in and the was told by enterprise in Mokena, IL that Ford was covering the insurance on the rental. They also put me in something very comparable to my van. Who ever you spoke with at the dealership should not be dealing with customers if they do not know the whole story. They are suppose to give you a rental from a rental company (who wil meet you at the dealership) You should go back there and talk to the manager and if that does not help then call Ford direct or call the vehicle safety hotline number listed above. What a bunch of crap. I had nothing but praises for Currie Motors in Frankfort and Enterprise in Mokena. Thanks guys. Too bad everyone is not as accomidating as you….
