I have the same problem with a set of firestone firehawk gt bl p225/60r16 tires. The first Firestone store(state st. Binghamton N.Y. told me the cracking was caused from car washes, my wife goes to the car wash at the most 4 times a year. They offered me a discount on another set of tires. I Then Called customer care and they had me bring the car back to the Vestal, N.Y. store for evaluation, there they told me that the cracks were stress cracks. When they had it on the lift they couldn't identify the cracks I had to show them. Again I was offered a discount. They will only replace the tires with proof of rotation of wich one was done there and the other one was done at another garage of wich I have receipts for. This is my second set of tires in 2 years the first set had about 15,000 miles on them and this set has about 14,000 miles on them. I feel that firestone just wants to rip off the public.
