Just bought a 2009 Chrysler T&C touring last Tuesday 8/25/09.
Over the weekend the transmission would occasionally not shift out of 3rd or 4th gear, 40mph @6000 rms..... Brought it into the Dealer, who wanted to rent us a vehicle while we waited for service on the van. We said NO, remember the check for $35,000 we gave you last week, I don't think so. Then they said, ok, but we don't have any minivans, what size car do you need ? Well let see, we purchased a minivan..... how about a.....minivan!! We all get it, tough economic times and all..But please. I just hope this is NOT the tip of the iceberg, and we don't live the next 10 years in Chrysler service waiting room H3LL..
New update, service department says, following a software upgrade to the vehicle they are now unable to create the problem. Problem sovled ? Time will tell.

I just purchased one less that one month ago, the touring model.
this week, 3 days ago the transmission went out and that's not the worst of it, it was like pulling teeth to get my dealer to help me out, they are from Waynesburg, PA. They were going to pay the extra towing to get to them after a long argument, and the when it came down to it they reneged on the deal when the Chrysler help line checked with them to verify. Anyway it is now at the closest dealer to the break down and they will not even look at it till next week and stated that it will most likely take a week and a half to have repaired.
At this point I don't even care if they ever fix it, I am now in the midst of a battle for replacement because the darn thing is still brand new (less than three weeks old) Thanks for listening... & good luck to all!

I have a 2006 Chrysler Van that leaks water in the floor board when the AC runs. According to a Chrysler mechanic the drain tube was installed level rather than at an angle to allow the water to drain. He said this was common in that year of vans and to check to see if there was a recall on this. It is quite expensive to repair.

I am tired of getting recalls on my new Town & Country Van one right after the other, trying to get all of the recalls fixed and the dealers are either closing down
or they cannot get the recalled parts to fix anything. The keyless entry remote transmitter is back ordered with no sign of when they can get the parts. The dealer closes to me right now is shutting down 6/5/09. I guess the overpaid CEO and other higher paying people in this organization could care less that a person who just paid almost $30,000.00 for a van has to try and find a dealership that is open and travel 2 or 300 miles to get warranty work done. Since you cannot get the warranty parts for this vehicle and others and you have an accident because of defective parts, who will be responsible? Someone will and we all know that!
