Is Trader Joes brand peanut butter included in recall?
Are Ritz Peanut Butter crackers involved in the recall?
I believe I have food poisoning and am trying to get this written before I have to run down the hall again. I have been deathly ill since 6am this morning The only item I’ve eaten in the last 24 hours that my husband and son didn’t also eat is a Food Lion Brand Sweet & Salty Peanut Granola Bar that I ate at 4pm yesterday. I did not see this on the recall list. Does anyone know to whom we should report possible problems with a potentially contaminated product?
Thanks.
I am an employee of Kraft Foods and want to respond to your blog posting regarding Ritz products and whether they are part of the recall.
Ritz is a Nabisco product and is not included in this recall.
Furthermore, Kraft is not recalling any products in connection with the recent salmonella outbreak involving peanut butter manufactured by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA). Neither we nor our suppliers purchase peanut butter or paste from PCA for any of our products, including those sold in the U.S. or Canada under the Kraft, Nabisco and Planters brands.
Kraft’s highest priority is the safety of our consumers, and we’re actively monitoring developments around the current recall of peanut butter. We are providing this information as suggested by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
For information about the peanut butter recall, your best source is the FDA website (http://www.fda.gov/oc/opacom/hottopics/salmonellatyph.html).
Consumers wishing to contact Kraft on this issue should visit http://www.kraftfoods.com or call 800-308-1841.
Sincerely yours,
Claire

Thank you for answering Nan McVay’s question Claire.
Readers please note: We did not mention Ritz or Nabisco in the article above. The three major brands mentioned were Reese’s Pieces, Little Debbie, and Keebler. NONE of these are Nabisco brands.
Keebler is a Kellogg Company brand. Little Debbie belongs to McKee Foods and Reese’s Pieces is a Hershey’s brand that was being licensed for use in their in-store mixes by the Hy-Vee grocery store chain.

No recalls from ConAgra yet?
I live in Houston Texas and have had sweats/chills for about 18 hours, I feel drained, and have a few spots on my chest, flat and rose colored spots. No cramping or the nast poop yet and hopefully not. Is there such thing as mild case of Salmonella?
I eat a lot of Peter Pan Honey Roasted Peanut Butter (Tuesday night and Wednesday night) and have a feeling it may also be contaminated, but hope not.

Has there been any recall on Kind brand nutritional nut bars? Walmart had them on sale with a lot of cereal and other items. I bought some of the bars, and they have different nuts and fruit, but they are not peanut butter bars.
Just wondering since they had them on sale in the $$ in the frozen food isle.

LISA FROM JAN 20 2009 I ALSO WAS SO SICK THE OTHER NIGHT AND ALSO ATE A NATURE VALLEY SWEET AND SALTYNUT GRANOLA BAR .REALLY SCARED ME , AND WAS SORE FOR 3 DAYS AFTERWARDS.WHAT A WORK I HAD. ANY WAY I THINK IT WAS THE FLU BECAUSE I HAVE EATEN THEM AGAIN AND HAVE HAD NO AFFECT AT ALL. HOPE ALL IS GOOD FOR YOU AND YOURS
I definately had salmonella last week. After getting a call from my local Kroger, I thought it was the Larabar that I ate. Now that I’ve read this, I realize that it could’ve been any number of peanut butter products. We ate Clif bars, Z bars, Luna bars, Larabars and Trader Joes Peanut Butter from the jar (that wasn’t on the list but my dog threw up in the living room 4 times the next day after eating it so we threw it out too.) My 4 year old and I were both sick, that pretty much put of off peanut butter for awhile. I’m hoping tree nut butters are less prone to contamination…any body have a clue? Thanks for the up to date info, I signed up for the mailing list!
What about Keebler?? Nutter Butter cookies?
I have had Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Peanut Bar as my favorite snack for about a year. I have been noticing that now I get nauseated and feel that way all day. I eat one every morning. I mentioned it to my husband back at the end of summer because we came home from vacation early because of it. Could someone find out if they have been tested for salmonella?

are peterpan peanut butter included in recall?
Hello I have a question? Today I went to a dollar store and they had reese’s Pieces candy for sale. I bought 2 boxes cause they were on sale. My wife told me about how they could be contaminated. My question is are reese’s pieces on recall list for Salmonella? and if I take back to store will they take them back? Thanks for your time…
I watched C-Span and one of the experts who testified said that Peter Pan should be on the recall list too.
I agree with Hope Myers
I used to eat Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Peanut Bars every morning until about a month ago because they were making me sick too
Are they on the list?
Also which Peanut Butter name brands are on the list
I used to eat peanut butter and banana sandwiches every day for lucnh until i learned about the outbreak… I miss eating them lol
Which ones are safe to eat
Thanks for the all the info
Sincerely
Jacqui
Oh and my friend ate a bunch of reeses peanut butter cups and now feels sick (in her stomach) like everyday
Should she go get checked out?
I recently purchased a box of your Ritz Crackerfuls. These are terrible!!!!!!!
I had thought it would be like the cheese crackers. The filling is the worst I have ever tried. While I will continue to purchase other products that you make, I will never purchase this item again.
this was a waste of my money!
