I called mths ago and was told they'd be sending me a pre printed mailing package to mail the sides to them for my reimbursment . And as of today still no package to mail back these peaces. I'm very upset that it's taken this long. I have no extra money to buy another one yet and my son has been having to use the same one until they send this package. Has anyone recv'd the package from them? I called again today to try and get it sent again. my son has hit his head and pintched his fingers...

i have the fisher price rainforest playpen i dont use it much anyway. ive never had any problems with as of yet. we also have other frisher price products and never had any complaints. its not the fault of fisher price themself it is simplicity as stated in the article above. the refund check is your to keep and do whatever with. be glad your getting that. also its a prepaid mailing label the only thing you have to do with your busy lives is use a scissor. cut 4 panels and go to the post office.

This is not a matter of someone being rough with a product. You expect a company like Fisher Price to test their products before releasing them to a public that trusts their reputation. My 8 month old grand daughter stood up yesterday, the side rail collapsed, and she fell face first into a large wooden piece of furniture....She has a huge purple bruise in the middle of her forehead. I was not rough with this item...I set it up correctly. I have 3 adult children, and never had problems with 'being rough' with the products I had before. THIS is absurd...I have to send back the side panels, and wait 4-6 weeks for a check...for less than I paid for it. BAD BAD PR!!!!!!

We didnt have any problems with the play pen until one day one side just fell down, thank god my daughter wasnt in it. We are a military family as well and we have really used the play pen but to change her in it and let her lay in it when she was much smaller and stare at the mobile. I didnt even know about the recall and decided to call the company to ask what I could do to fix the side and wow they told me it was recalled. So now I have to wait up to 2 weeks for a prepaid envelope and then cut the sides out to send back to them, then wait 8-12 weeks for a check. My thougths go out to those who had children get hurt in these. I think the companies should pay better attention to what they are making and selling. I would be crushed if my children were hurt in something like this.

In regards to people not being too rough on things, get real. We barely used this and one day my infant son pulls himself up with the rail and wouldn't you know it collapsed. Luckily he wasn't hurt, but really, if "too rough" means my son pulling himself up on it (all 20 lbs of him) then this shouldn't be on the market...hence recall. Maybe Cynthia you were lucky and got one that wasn't defective. This is the first time I have ever had anything that was recalled. We were definately not too rough.

I recieved this playyard as a shower gift in june of 2007. It didn't get used much so I never saw a problem then my son decided he didn't want to sleep on his crib so i put the playyard up for him and about 3 weeks into using it the side started falling down. I called the number I was supposed to call and then gave me a new number to call and then those people gave me yet another number to call so finally I got to talk to a real person who by the way was rude to me and i couldn't understand a word they were saying. So I got a new play yard and they told me I would have to ship the bad one back to them, which I didnt do because why should I pay out money for shipping. Anyway I got my new one and wouldn't you know it it has the recalled numbers on it. So now I have 2 recalled play yards AWESOME

I just went on support.mattel.com to try to find out how to get my play yard replaced...they want me to cut the side panels off of it and send it to them and then wait around for a check, if they decide to send one. This is rediculous...my baby sleeps in that every night because we're homeless and staying with friends, we don't have room for a crib. I can't be without something for him to sleep in while I wait around for them to send me a check (if they send one) to buy another pack and play that will probably cost more than what they'll give me.

See if I buy another Fisher Price item again!

I bought this play yard for my grandson and a couple of months later or so i noticed that the one side kept falling , even one day he was sleeping in it and it collasped , luckly that he didn't wake and turn over to fall or cause an accident . I don't understand why when there are so many complaints why companys don't put a recall on it till they find out what they can do, if any thing about it . Your talking about children here , i wonder if they would do some thing about it if it was their own child .
