My wife and I just found out tonight (3/13/2009) about the ETHEX recall I am taking the 30 mg Isosorbide Mononitrate. I Have been taking them for about 3 months . Why did it take so long for my pharmacist to find this out . Almost 5 months? I would like an answer to this question.

I had several months of extra propafenone (300) and so was able to take some of them back to the pharmacist since they were possibly part of the recalled batches. The problem pills are presumably oversized. However, maybe a year ago, all the pills became larger and still are the “large” size. I’m a little concerned that the oversized pills are still being dispersed – is that possible? I’m already taking a large dose.

I was taking the pills isosoribide Monitrate, Was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. I was so weak I couldn’t hold up I had pains in my chest.While in the hospital they gave me a catherization & the y said it was alright. They discaharged me after a few days & couldn’t find out what happened to me. I went home & was still ill.A few days later I found out there was a recall on the pills I was taking. This has really taken a lot out of me.

i am taking the isoribride they are yellow with e and 60 on them they have 11/2009 expires in 11/2009 i have called the compoany that they were made and walmart i got these in november around the 20th to 25th i had bad headache were nothing helped not even vicodin am i at risk here everyone tells me keep taking them what is up with this i am a heart patient with a pace maker defib diabetic if these are the pills being recalled what do i do pills are suspose to help ppl no kill them

I was taking Isosorbide mono60mg Ertab Ethex I was about to run out and the Dr gave me another prescip. When I got he medicine, It looked different than the other. I took it to the clinic and asked the lady at the desk to ask the dr, and she just took one out and told me that they were the same, bujt made by a different company i am afraid to take the pills now, because I heard of the recall.. I have had to these pills since 2002 and I do not want to have any side effects, although I think I might have had. You see, I do not think I am sick, when then I find out I really am sick. How can I tell if these pills are on recall, when I do not know the numbers of the recall. I can only go by what information is on the bottle. The pills that I was taking are ovel, sort of yellos and on one side it says E 60, and the new pills that I got the other day are long a different color and says KU119. Please direct me to the right e mail address to see if I should be taking these pills

My mother received this prescription from Wal-Mart and did not receive any notification from Wal-Mart until weeks after the recall was announced. When she called to inquire the pharmacist professed to know nothing about any recall, acted very complacent and said they had no way of knowing which lot my mother (who is 81 and a heart patient) had taken. They frankly acted very arrogant and like my mother was stupid. My mother visited the store personally today and again, no-one expressed any knowledge or concern about this issue; the pharmacist never even came to the counter.

Terrible, irresponsible service in my opinion. What does it take to get their attention — a lawsuit?!
