Consumer protection supposedly ended all that, and the FDA was invented to cure the problem. That it doesn&#039;t do its job, or that it takes too long is problematic, but uncurable?

The alternative is to ignore safety, and suffer the consequences...unthinkable by most safety standards.

When that happens, few give any thought to the benefits of writing off R&amp;D Expenses that would otherwise have been taxable. When drugs are offered that are unsafe, recovery of those taxes seems legitimate to prevent adding the incentive for short term profits, and the capturing of long term profits as well for drugs that may be unsafe, but untested in the marketplace.</description>
