KYMCO MXU ATV’s Recalled Due to Suspension Failure
January 2, 2008
KYMCO USA of Spartanburg, SC, in cooperation with the CPSC, has voluntarily recalled about 1,350 MXU 500 ATVs model years 2006, 2007, 2008 due to the following problem: The pivot bolts holding the rear suspension onto the frame can become loose, causing the rear swing arm to detach from the chassis posing a risk of injury or death to the operator of the vehicle.
The vehicles were sold nationwide from November 2006 to December 2007 for approximately $6,000-$6,500.
Consumers should stop using the recalled vehicle immediately and contact an authorized KYMCO dealer in their area to schedule a free repair.
