Toshiba Recalls 142,000 DVD Player Power Adapters

Toshiba has recalled 142,000 AC Power Adapters for DVD Players. The power adapters, much like the previous Toshiba battery recalls from earlier this year, has to do with overheating dangers.

Toshiba decided to issue the power adapter recall after two reports of minor damages to the bottom of the DVD player caused by overheating adapters. The DVD player that these power adapters were sold with is Toshiba model number SD-P1600 with AC adapter model ADPV16.

These DVD player power adapters were manufactured in China and sold in the US between January 2005 and April 2006 at various stores nation-wide. Consumers using these recalled power adapters are advised to unplug them as soon as possible and contact Toshiba for a replacement.
