Brave Products Log Splitter Recall

If you own a log splitter by Brave Products Inc., of Streator, Illinois with the serious numbers below you are advised to stop using the log splitter immediately!

After 59 more reports of leaking cylinders and/or rod retention failure - one involving a hand amputation possibly caused by the defective log splitter - Brave Products in cooperation with the Consumer product Safety Commission (CPSC) is expanding their recall from Feburary 2005. http://www.cpsc.gov/CPSCPUB/PREREL/prhtml05/05110.html

Check the hydraulic tank for the following serial numbers pertaining to recalled log splitters. If you have a recalled log splitter from Brave Products, contact them at (800) 350-8739 for a replacement cylinder.
