Don’t Buy Strawberry Smoothies at Jamba Juice This Month!
December 5, 2006
One of the Jamba Juice frozen strawberry providers has recalled their fruit (sold exclusively to Jamba Juice) for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
Listeria can cause serious sickness and can sometimes be fatal in young children, the elderly, and those with week immune systems. Listeria infections can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths.
According to Jamba Juice, the recalled strawberries have been removed from stores in the affected areas and are no longer being used to make smoothies.
But, just in case, you might want to choose another flavor for the next few weeks.
