Aspen 3-in-1 Crib with Graco Logo by Simplicity Inc. – Important Recall !
February 14, 2006
More Recent Graco Crib Recall – Please read the one below first.

In late December last year, we ran a press release announcing the recall of Simplicity Incorporated’s Graco Aspen Cribs for posing a risk of suffocation. The screws on the mattress support were coming loose, causing the crib’s mattress to fall. At the time of that report, there had been five reported injuries, although none of them serious. Well, that is if an injured baby can ever NOT be serious.
This month a 19-month baby suffocated as the screws cam loose on his Aspen 3-in-1 crib with the Graco logo.
It is extremely important that you search your crib for the Graco logo and discontinue its use immediately if you have one.
Please read the original Graco Crib Recall press release, as well as the second release from the Consumer Product Safety Commission regarding the death of this poor child.
We will be adding a search function soon, which will allow consumers to search the US Recall News website for specific product recalls. I implore you to bookmark this site and check back often to see if any of the products you own have been recalled for any reason.
Sincerely,
Everett Sizemore

Just wanted to mention that I have this crib and called the company to report a problem with the sides coming off track back in 2004 and they basically treated me like an idiot and said I put it together incorrectly.
